Gifford Primary School is a four-form entry school; four classes per year Reception to Year 6 with 30 pupils in each class and a provision for Hearing Impaired

In our Nursery, Gifford Primary offer 104 part-times places, 52 in the morning session and 52 in the afternoon session.
Children must be at least three years of age when they start nursery in either the September, January April intake. You can register your child on the waiting list for a nursery place once they are two years of age. Forms are available from the school office which is open between 8.00am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Completed forms must be accompanied by a copy of your child’s birth certificate and proof of address i.e. Council Tax or Tenants Agreement
Parents are notified when a place becomes available and invited to attend a meeting to discuss the curriculum and complete all of the relevant paperwork. The school offers only PART-TIME (15hrs per week) nursery places but does NOT offer school places.
In the result of our Nursery being oversubscribed your child will be on a waiting list until a place becomes available.
The Local Authority is responsible for deciding and administering the admissions policy for Gifford Primary school.

Attendance in our Nursery does not guarantee a place in Reception.

Application for places in our school in the middle of the year, in the Reception class and years 1-6 is via an ‘In-Year Common Application Form processed by Ealing Admissions.
Non-Ealing residents wishing to apply for an Ealing primary school will need to do so via their own borough’s In-Year Common Application Form. Pupil’s starting at Gifford in the middle of the year will have an introductory meeting with the head teacher. Parents are required to visit our school with their child as part of the admissions process. All new admissions are supported to ensure they feel welcomed and make friends easily.

Transfer to Secondary School
Children transfer from Gifford Primary school to a variety of local secondary schools.
In the autumn term of year 6, children and parents are invited to visit secondary schools, attend a local information meetings and complete the common application (CAF) ONLINE.
Applications must be made directly to the council that you are living in at the time of application, regardless of the borough which the school is in.
The deadline for applying for high school is by the end of October month while the child is still in Year 6. Applications received after this date are classed as late and will not be considered until after national offer day, which is in March.
