ArtsMark Silver Award
We have recently been award the Artsmark Silver Award.
Artsmark schools gain access to exceptional resources as well as networks of the country’s most treasured cultural organisations, helping them develop and strengthen their arts provision.
Rights Respecting Bronze Award
We announce that we have been awarded Unicef UK’s BRONZE award for Rights Respecting Schools.
This means that as a school we are providing a learning environment that is committed to promoting and realising children’s rights and encouraging adults, children and young people to respect the rights of others in school. See letter attached for more information.
School for Success Award
Gifford Primary School’s fantastic progress has been acknowledged by the Mayor of London’s Schools for Success programme.
We will be awarded with a certificate at a special event in City Hall in October. Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, in his letter to Gifford extends his thanks and best wishes to the teachers, support staff and governors at Gifford who have worked hard to achieve such an amazing level of progress.
Gold Reading Award
In November 2017, we were delighted to announce that we were only one of three Ealing schools to have been awarded the ‘Gold Reading Award’ in recognition of all the activities that take place at Gifford for reading in addition to the excellent results we have received over the last few years.
The award was achieved following a stringent external assessment process.
Well done to everyone involved in promoting reading at Gifford and particularly to Miss Valentin our Reading Manager for her hard work in developing reading across all the year groups in the school and for organising the award.
Outstanding School Award
Awarded the Outstanding school award by Ofsted in 2012/2013.
Top 100 Schools in 2014
A letter (click here) from the Department of Education for in the achievement for being top 100 schools in 2014.
Sainsbury’s School Games
The Sainsbury’s School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
Schools in England are able to assess themselves across bronze, silver and gold levels of mark, with Ofsted using the Mark award as part of their inspection framework.
Healthy School Award
The heathly schools award scheme sponsored by the Mayor of London recognises and celebrate schools that are making a difference for their pupil’s health and wellbeing.
Gifford Primary school has in the past been awarded the gold award and is currently holding the bronze award.
National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics
The aims of the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) are to raise levels of achievement in maths, and to increase appreciation of the power and wonder of maths, across the school.
Gifford Primary is working towards becoming a mastery specialist school in mathematics.
